1955 Ford Thunderbird Restoration
Commissioned by the couple who’ve owned the car since 1975, this Thunderbird received a full nut and bolt restoration after sitting for 20 years. The body was caustic dipped and E coated, the original engine and transmission rebuilt, and the wiring replaced as new. The chassis and running gear sport shiny epoxy black paint while the entire bottom of the car is finished in a durable and easy to maintain rubberized chip guard that was tinted to match the top. It shines like a diamond and purrs down the road with a nice low rumble from the dual exhausts. The interior shames a contemporary Corvette with beautiful engine turned aluminum panels, unique switchgear and upholstery that looks like it was pulled from a concept car.
